Hey there,
I'm Chloe Villanueva.

Empathy drives my approach to UX. I’m passionate about understanding users, solving complex problems, and designing intuitive solutions that create real impact. With experience in wireframing, user research, usability testing, and prototyping, I thrive in taking ideas from concept to execution. Collaboration fuels my creativity, and as a woman in tech, I’m committed to building inclusive, human-centered experiences that empower users and shape the future of design.

Here's a little about myself.

Born into a Filipino-American family, my heritage and culture have always been central to my identity. Growing up in Oswego, Illinois, I sought deeper cultural connections, which led me to join Asian organizations and the Multicultural Greek Council in college. Through this community, I met diverse perspectives and, unexpectedly, a strong network of UX professionals who supported and inspired me throughout my undergraduate journey.

In 2019, I moved to Chicago to pursue my B.S. in User Experience Design with a minor in Information Technology at DePaul University. Now, I’m continuing to grow in the field by pursuing a master’s in Human-Computer Interaction.

With a passion for culture, human connection, and technology, I strive to design experiences that foster inclusivity, accessibility, and meaningful impact.

Why did I choose to pursue UX?

Growing up, my dad’s tech career inspired me to pursue a future in the field—but I knew I wanted a path that blended creativity, human connection, and impact.

With a passion for design and a naturally extroverted, empathetic personality, I found UX to be the perfect outlet. It allows me to collaborate, connect with users, and design experiences that truly make a difference in people’s lives.

Through research, teamwork, and problem-solving, I get to combine my skills with my passion for helping others—shaping technology to be more intuitive, accessible, and human-centered.
